Athens/Avalon Greenspace
This inspirational greenspace, in the Excelsior neighborhood of San Francisco, was once a sloping hillside filled with trash. This space was transformed with terraces, flagstone patios, plantings, signage and new staircase designed by artist Iran Narges.
It is now considered one of the top mural staircases to visit in San Francisco.
